19th August

As the final night of North American Youth Congress had arrived all too quickly, attendees poured into the Chesapeake arena with great expectation. As the crowd shuffled in to find the best seat available, the North American Talent Search began with various apostolic bands seeking to offer their gifts for the glory of God. With each group of contestants, the students rallied behind their peers and voted on their favorite group.

Following the talent search and a few promotional videos, evangelist, Chris Green, led us in prayer as we prepared our hearts for the Word of the Lord. Each young person in the congregation was asked to place their hands on their head and bind all fear, doubt, and disbelief so God could work freely among us. Bro. Green proclaimed, “The spirit of prophecy is already in this place!” Expectation … Read More »

7th August

The final day of North American Youth Congress has arrived, and with it comes the buildup of faith and power—a concoction producing an atmosphere in which the impossible becomes reality.

The doors opened as thousands of young people poured into the arena, passionately defying the standard of the millions of others who surround them on a daily bases. These young people are driven. But, what is it that drives them? Faith. Faith in the powerful and demonstrative manifestation of the Word of God.

As the students prepared to head off to the split sessions, a short film was presented. This video, “Citizenship,” produced by Ryan Trimble, spoke to the hearts of many in the arena who wanted so desperately to be used of God. It challenged the apostolic young adults to take a stand for their citizenship in God’s kingdom, for … Read More »

The second night of NAYC kicked off with great excitement and worship from Christian Life College in California. A new category of the North American Talent Search was judged of those presenting a variety of worship arts. These included a skit, painting, singing, spoken word, a guitar solo, and ending the talent search was a violin solo. Only one talent wins the contest, but it is refreshing to know how diverse our worship can be, and how our unique talents testify of the special design involved in all of our lives!

As we assembled the first night, anticipation was based on hope. All were believing God
was going to do an amazing work, but there is something about the second night that puts to
rest all doubt. This night there is no wondering whether God will speak to every individual or not. … Read More »

6th August

As the second day of North American Youth Congress commenced, thousands of apostolic young people poured into the Chesapeake Arena for the early Jump Start session which included worship and icebreaker activities. From here, the attendees were dismissed to their various split sessions, which catered to the different demographics of NAYC. The teen sessions was led by Bro. LJ Harry, Bro. Fain spoke to the Youth Workers’ session, while Bro. Darrell Johns preached to the Young Ministers, and Sis. Kristen Keller ministered to the Hyphen session.

Following the split sessions, the young people reunited in the arena where you found a plethora of glowing tambourines and neon cups in the hands of roughly 20,000 attendees. The congregation used these to pound out music to the beat of the service count down. After the final shakes of tambourines and clashing of … Read More »

More than a Covenant

The first ever sold out, overflowing, North America Youth Congress has finally arrived. Years of preparation, fundraising, prayer, and fasting have led us to this moment. Lines formed hours in advance to the three designated entrances of The Chesapeake Arena. Registrants flooded into the arena in preparation for an incredible opening night of NAYC. Over 18,000 young adults have stormed the city bringing a thunder like Oklahoma City has never seen.

My Hope Radio and the North American Talent Search kicked off the evening with eight soloists from all across the nation. Each of the contestants showcased their God-given talents in an act of worship back to Him.

After a time of prayer and announcements, the worship team led by Jessica DiGiovanni stepped onto the platform leading us into a time of worship. Following this opening … Read More »
