The 2018 Bible quizzing season ended on a high note with the North American Bible Quiz Tournament (NABQT) in Springfield, Missouri. And what a wonderfully anointed note it was! From the opening worship in orientation to the final prayer at the banquet, the Lord was present!

Our new Senior Bible Quizzing branding was a surprise reveal to all our teams as they gathered for orientation. The new logo combines the written Word that is memorized and studied with the spoken word that is not only asked and answered at the quiz board, but then shared with a world in need. It represents the dynamic synergy between the Logos and Rhema that is alive and powerful in the lives of young people.

With fifty-seven (57) intermediate teams and fifty-eight (58) experienced teams participating, congratulations to The Anchor Church from Zanesville, Ohio (Pastor Aaron … Read More »

That Glorious Day

30th July

Senior Bible Quizzing is an amazing ministry, and with it comes the North American Bible Quiz Tournament (NABQT). For nearly an entire week, quizzers from across the nation come together and quiz, play games, and just generally fellowship with their friends from across the country. This is the high point of the year. For nine months you’ve studied verses, you’ve memorized charts, you’ve pored over the concordance, and you then have one chance to culminate your entire year’s work in just a few short days.

You get up in front of hundreds of people and prove you’re among the best in the nation. If you don’t actually prove that, you can just go and hang out with your friends anyway. Sounds like a win/win to me. There’s the Prayer and Share service, which gives last year quizzers the opportunity to … Read More »

From Behind the Table

The NABQT— the North American Bible Quiz Tournament—is a time where the best Bible quiz teams in the nation meet to compete. This year, it was held in Saint Charles, Missouri, with the fancy title of “Relationship and Revelation,” covering the Book of John for intermediate quizzers and the Book of John, the epistles of John, and Revelation for experienced quizzers.

Many times, Bible quizzers think of the NABQT as a time to meet other Bible quizzers and make new friendships that will last rather than the competitive tournament their coaches know it is. As a Bible quizzer myself, I know the fellowship is often more entertaining than the quizzing itself. When one quizzer was asked about the first word they think of relating to nationals, the answer was “fun.” Fun, I think, is something many non-quizzers don’t realize happens … Read More »

The book has been shut on the 2013 Bible quiz season. Another phenomenal year has passed, with thousands of students learning hundreds of precious Bible verses. The 2013 course of study was titled “Pselected Psalms” and provided a plethora of Word to draw comfort, encouragement, joy, praise, strength, and whatever else you might need. No matter your situation, the Book of Psalms can give you direction, and the 2013 Bible quizzers are fully prepared.
The 2013 season officially ended in August at the North American Bible Quiz Tournament—more affectionately known as NABQT, in Louisville, Kentucky. 101, fifty-five experienced and 46 intermediate, descended on the Galt House in anticipation of the year’s cultivating event. This was the first time more than one-hundred teams would be participating at NABQT in many years. The excitement in the air was … Read More »
