Book: Teen People of the Bible: Celebrity Profiles of Real Faith and Tragic Failure

    Author: Daniel Darling

    Reviewed by: Kara Christian

The paparazzi offer distorted glimpses into the humanity of our society’s young celebrities, proclaiming the reality of their faults and failings to the entire world. Likewise, the Bible is filled with undeniably truer accounts of real celebrities. These are young people that have been known throughout the ages and have touched the lives of entire generations! Teen People of the Bible provides us a window into the souls of the renowned characters of Biblical times. The author says, “What I didn’t quite realize was that many of the characters [of the Bible] were teens just like I was. They struggled with sexual temptation, they had strained parental relationships, they were betrayed, abused, and hurt. Teen People is a 100-day devotional with the real-life teens of the Bible. Each day you’ll read the stories of teens just like you. You’ll cheer their successes, mourn their failures, and walk in their shoes. Most of all, you’ll read what they have to say to you, in your situation today.”
