#NAYC17 Memories

27th November

“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (I Timothy 4:12).

Wow! That’s the only way to express my emotions about how NAYC was for those who attended. I was so blessed by the music, singing, preaching, and powerful moves of God’s Spirit we experienced every night!

With over 34,000 in attendance partially filling Lucas Oil Stadium, it was like never before. What sticks in my mind most about NAYC is the overwhelming response from the youth with their worship and participation in every part of the service. From the first song sung to the last word preached and throughout the entire altar call, they showed more than ever that they were passionate and wholeheartedly dedicated to a move of God in their lives. … Read More »

2nd August

The final night of North American Youth Congress 2017 closed out in a mighty way. The event might be over, but the impacts of this monumental week are just beginning. After two nights of extraordinary talent, we are pleased to announce Kingdom Worship as the first place winners of the North American Talent Search.

In addition to the winners of the talent search, the stadium erupted with a cheer as Impact Junkie, a new venture that is changing the world, shared the winners of the “The Great Pitch.” Pushing Back the Darkness, a venture beginning to end human trafficking, won third place. A new business called Cake Jar came in second place. The business venture that came in first place is called C. Saucy, an innovative program that designs modest scrubs for women. At the end of all the announcements, … Read More »

1st August

The final day of North American Youth Congress has come and spirits are soaring! The day began with a jump start session led by L.J. Harry. Following the jump start were the split sessions where Andrew Romine (teen), Brent Coltharp (Hyphen), Jonathan Quinones (youth workers), and David K. Bernard (young ministers) spoke to the various audiences of NAYC attendees. At the completion of the split sessions, all attendees reconvened in Lucas Oil Stadium for the general session where Victor Jackson preached “A Call to Greatness.”

He took our attention to Genesis 11:3 and Genesis 12:1-4. In the first passage we see the men of Earth building a tower to reach into Heaven. We know this tower to be called the tower of Babel. In the next passage we read of God calling Abraham to leave everything, his kindred, and everything he … Read More »

Is This That?

As over 34,000 people filled the Lucas Oil Stadium for the second night service this week, the presence of God and the worship were unprecedented. Over the past two days, there has been a sound like this football stadium has never heard. God is doing amazing things in the lives of those in attendance at NAYC17.

The night began with the North American talent search. So much talent was displayed at the start of service, followed by a dynamic worship set that helped prepare the hearts of those in attendance for a word from God.

Before the evening speaker began, the congregation was charged by our General Superintendent, Bro. David Bernard, about the weight and impact of the callings placed on this very powerful generation. He proclaimed “We are not waiting for revival, we are in revival right … Read More »

The Greatest Opportunity on Earth

The second day of North American Youth congress kicked off with a jump start session led by Lj Harry followed by split sessions with Chantry Dean(Teen), Matthew Johnson(Hyphen), Chadwick Craft (Youth Workers), and Aaron Soto (Young Ministers).

Following the split sessions, Bro. Tom Ellis preached from the well-known passage in Mark 11:15-17, where scripture records Jesus’ frustration with those treating the temple as a marketplace. The attendants of NAYC were reminded of the timeless importance of the reason for the temple and one of the most important callings the church will ever have—prayer. The temple is to be called a house of prayer and in Mark 11, the people had made it a den of thieves.

The audience Jesus was speaking to was guilty of casually walking into the temple, buying their sacrifice there … Read More »
